The place called Les Terrasses is in the south of Périgord 15 km from Bergerac and its airport. It is a wine estate of 10 hectares of vines exploited according to organic standards, with the greatest respect for the environment. The hilly and very pretty place is also called Little Tuscany. The estate, previously called Château les Terrasses then Clos des Terrasses, has a very good reputation in the region and Périgord for the quality of its terroir, its vines and its wines.

The Cottage - for rent
It sits in the middle of a 20 hectare property, surrounded by vineyards, woods, meadows and ponds. The cottage and an old barn with stone walls. It has been completely restored and gives very large volumes. On the ground floor there is an american kitchen, adjoining dining room, living room with very large fireplace and wood burning stove. There is one bedroom with its shower room and a utility room. Upstairs is a very large mezzanine with a bedroom, bathroom and living room.

The vineyard - 14 ha
but this year we have uprooted 4 ha which will be replanted in the coming years. Acrually the vineyard, classified in organic, covers 10 ha including 8.5 ha in red grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and 1.5 ha in white grape varieties: White and Gray Sauvignon and Muscadelle. The vines are between 20 and 45 years old. They are planted at a distance of 3.5 m and 2 m. The terroir is very varied, ranging from clay-limestone, silty clays and limestone to flint.

The winery - 8 vinification tanks
The winery is equipped with 8 thermo-adjustable stainless steel vinification tanks, stainless steel and fiber wine guards and concrete tanks. Adjoining the cellar is the insulated and air-conditioned barrel cellar where wines already bottled are stored at a temperature between 10 and 18 degrees and a humidity rate of 75/80%. For next season we plan to enlarge, modernize and better insulate the operating buildings.

Le lieu dit Les Terrasses se trouve dans le sud du Périgord à 15 km de Bergerac avec son aéroport . C’est une propriété viticole de 10 ha de vignes exploitées en bio avec le plus grand respect pour l’environnement. Le lieu est vallonné, est très joli et est aussi appelé Petite Toscane. Le domaine, auparavant appelé Château les Terrasses, après Clos des Terrasses a une très bonne réputation dans la région et le Périgord pour la qualité de son terroir , ses vignes et ses vins. Le chai est équipé de 8 cuves de vinification en inox thermo réglable, des gardes vins en inox et fibres et des cuves en béton. Attenant au chai se trouve la cave à barriques isolé et climatisé et où sont stockés les vins déjà mis en bouteille à une température entre 10 et 18 degrés et un taux d’humidité de 75/80%. Pour la saison prochaine nous envisageons de agrandir, moderniser et isoler mieux les bâtiments d’exploitation. See more
